Living With A Mitsubishi Pajero

Kevins Mk1 Pajero
Kevins Mk1 Pajero...
Kevin kindly got in touch to share with us his new (to him) Mk1 Pajero, 3 litre petrol from 1989. He tells me it’s done 193000 miles and he paid the not too outrageous sum of £400. Sounds like a bargain to me! He says it’s had a bottom end rebuild, but hopefully he manages to get many more...
Mark’s Bluemoon Pajero
Mark’s Bluemoon Pajero...
Pictures of this rather immaculate looking Bluemoon Pajero were sent in by Mark List who has been a proud owner since June. It’s obviously in great condition and is almost exactly as it left the showroom in its Bluemoon limited edition style. Mark points out there are one or two things that are...
Mk1 Pajero From Australia
Mk1 Pajero From Australia...
I really like this Mk1 Pajero that’s being shared with us by owner Dan in Australia. Probably the colour that gets me most and I love the black wheels that go so well with it. I’m wondering if this is a standard Mitsubishi colour as I don’t recall seeing it before. Answers in the comments...
A Pajero Like Mine Except Longer
A Pajero Like Mine Except Longer...
Jonas from Reykjavik in Iceland got in touch to ask about removing the back two seats in his long wheel base Pajero. He also sent a picture showing a Paj with a similar colour to my own. It’s a later model to mine, with the blister arches. I quite like the nudge bar thingy on this one too and lack...
Mk1 Pajero - With History!
Mk1 Pajero - With History!...
Another Mk1, this time a LWB sent in by Michael, currently living in France. Not in the best of shape this old girl, but with 255000 Kms on the clock, she’s not doing so bad! I know of a few Pajeros with more miles on them, but not many. Just shows how long these cars can last if properly maintained....
MOT For The Pajero
MOT For The Pajero...
That time of year again today - the dreaded MOT! I didn’t know of anything obviously wrong with the car apart from a very minor niggle - needed some new windscreen wiper blades. So I got a new pair yesterday. After picking my lads up from school we got to work on giving the old car a good wash....
Mk1 Pajero Ex-Rally Car
Mk1 Pajero Ex-Rally Car...
I really love the Mk1 Pajeros and who knows, maybe one day I’ll own one. I especially love ones that are painted up in the old Paris-Dakar style. So here we have a fantastic example of that sent in by Ad van Drunen. You can see from the photos that the car has gone through a few changes over the...
Pajero In Tanzania
Pajero In Tanzania...
Another reader’s story, this time from Bwiko Kyriakos in Tanzania. Specifically the city of Dar es Salaam which sits on the eastern coast of the country. I don’t know how common this colour of 2.8 TD Pajero is, but I’ve certainly not seen many like this. Looks great though and I’ll...
Daz’s 2.8 Exceed
Daz’s 2.8 Exceed...
Daz got in touch to tell me about his Mk2 2.8 LWB Exceed. Apparently he’d always fancied an off-roader and when his wife suggested a people carrier for a second car, he didn’t need another invitation! He also mentions that the site has been useful to him in the past and I certainly hope I...
That’s A Big One!
That’s A Big One!...
This is Edwin’s whopper of a rig, a Mk4 3.8 V6 Pajero tugging a Flagstaff caravan. He tells me the Paj is 4.9m and the caravan is 9.9m (including A-frame). By my calculations that makes a massive 14.8m in total, or about 48 feet. Try doing a 3-point turn with that! “Tows like a dream though”. And...
